Biography

Minka communed with nature, animals, elements, and spirits before the Myst lineage had a name. Her Butterfly Curse spread beyond its intended target, creating the Voraxn hunger and the conditions that later produced the AGC.

Canon history

Backstory

Minka lived when the boundary between physical and spiritual life was thin enough to be crossed without a machine or formal gate. Her power made her a mediator between early human communities and the forces inhabiting the land around them.
The Vorax leader's attempt to seize Hushwood's mystical power forced Minka into a decision between immediate survival and consequences she could not measure. She designed the Butterfly Curse so every destructive act would turn back on the aggressor.
The spell did not remain singular. It spread through the clan, transforming the Vorax into hunters whose bodies depend on absorbed life force. Residual curse energy later entered the Vira Crucible; Henry Hodge's contact with that artifact altered his descendants and began the known AGC lineage.
Minka became both founder and warning for every Butterfly Witch after her. She proved that protective intent does not limit the reach of power, and that one act of magic can become biology, culture, and history long after the caster is gone.

Origin

When the Vorax Clan tried to dominate Hushwood's mystical forces, Minka cast a ruin curse against its leader. The spell propagated through the entire species and left residual energy in the Vira Crucible.
