Character Summary

Guy Garland is S-DOS, the War Acres strategist who sees the six degrees connecting people, objects, organizations, and events, then changes one link to redirect the whole network.

Biography

The founder of Thryvion Strategies uses an AGC awakening called the Butterfly's Embrace, exceptional cognition, and corporate intelligence to solve crises from inside their relationships rather than overpowering them.

Canon history

Backstory

Guy Garland was raised in War Acres by nurse Maria Garland and detective Sean Garland. His mother taught him that every crisis contains people before it contains statistics; his father taught him to reconstruct an event from the relationships others overlook.
At Skyhaven University, Guy studied behavioral economics and cybernetic systems and built a close circle with Clint Drayke, Mirelle McDowell, Kaleigh Soren, Tatiana Kade, Lyra Fen, and Samuel Ariston. Those friendships later became the operational core of Thryvion Strategies.
A humanitarian mission brought Guy into Hushwood Forest, where he tried to prevent violence between groups whose histories made direct negotiation impossible. Aurelia Myst answered his empathy and pattern intelligence with the Butterfly's Embrace. Guy emerged able to perceive connections between people, objects, decisions, and institutions as an active information field.
He founded Thryvion as a global consulting firm and a covert response network. Governments and corporations hire Guy to solve impossible systems; S-DOS uses the same access to trace criminal finance, predict retaliation, and dismantle threats before they become visible.
His ability creates an ethical problem no opponent can solve for him. Guy can guide a network toward a safer outcome, but every successful manipulation makes it easier to believe consent is only another inefficient variable. Ethos, his uncompromising moral foil, forces S-DOS to answer whether a better outcome remains just when no one knew they were being moved.

Origin

During a humanitarian mission in Hushwood Forest, Guy negotiated between factions threatening the region. Aurelia Myst recognized his latent potential and bestowed the Butterfly's Embrace, activating his AGC through a mystical transformation that UMED records under Curse classification.

Empty channels mean no defensible estimate has been published, never a zero rating.

Powers

  1. 01Six Degrees Perception

Guy perceives the active relationships between people, objects, organizations, and recent events. The result appears as a changing map of influence, access, obligation, and likely consequence.

  2. 02Connection manipulation

By changing one meaningful link, S-DOS can redirect a wider network: expose a hidden ally, sever team cohesion, trigger a chain of contact, or place the right information in the right path.

  3. 03Psychometric insight

Touch lets Guy read an object's recent history and the emotional or practical relationships attached to it.

  4. 04Hyper-cognition

His activated mind processes large datasets and runs tactical simulations at exceptional speed. It remains analysis, not perfect prophecy.

  5. 05Elite combat prediction

Connection sight and martial training let Guy anticipate how an opponent is likely to move before the strike completes.

Equipment

  1. 01Connection HUD glasses

A multispectrum display translates Guy's perception into trackable overlays and reduces visual strain during migraine aura.

  2. 02Connection Disruptor

A wrist device introduces communication noise and distrust into a coordinated hostile group.

  3. 03Adaptive stealth system

Holographic camouflage projects decoys that copy Guy's current movement while he changes position.

  4. 04S-DOS MedPatch

Vital monitoring, migraine medication, and emergency wound-sealing support keep Guy functional during neurological stress.

  5. 05Thryvion intelligence network

Trusted analysts, secure data, drones, and corporate access extend his connection map beyond direct perception.

Weaknesses

  1. 01TIA history and migraine aura

A prior transient ischemic attack left Guy vulnerable to flashes, confusion, distorted vision, and disorientation when hyper-cognition is pushed too far.

  2. 02Imperfect information

Hidden or deliberately false relationships can contaminate his simulations and create confident but incorrect conclusions.

  3. 03Control ethics

The ability to improve an outcome by manipulating people continually tempts Guy to treat consent as a cost rather than a boundary.

  4. 04Human durability

Without preparation or equipment, S-DOS has no enhanced resistance to injury.
