Character Summary

Kexar Voraxn was exiled as the clan's runt, trained by Bruteforce Brawnipo, and chosen by Nighthunger, a life-drinking blade that turned weakness into a different kind of hunt.

Biography

Blood-Hound tracks monsters, cursed prey, and members of the clan that discarded him. He survives between Voraxn hunger, Brawnipo discipline, and a weapon whose appetite is never entirely separate from his own.

Canon history

Backstory

Kexar was born smaller than the other Voraxn and could not perform the clan's rites with the same visible force. Jakar treated the difference as weakness that threatened a culture built on uniform predatory strength.
Exile should have ended him because the Butterfly Curse weakens a Voraxn without a clan-supported hunt. Bruteforce Brawnipo found Kexar before hunger completed the sentence and trained him to use timing, leverage, observation, and restraint.
Nighthunger answered the same wound. The ancient blade drinks vitality and carries a malevolent intelligence drawn to Kexar's anger. In his hands it can wound beings beyond ordinary Voraxn claws and return enough life force to sustain him outside the clan.
Blood-Hound now hunts dangerous prey on his own terms and refuses to let Jakar define the shape of his species. Every use of Nighthunger proves the outcast can survive; every use also risks replacing the clan's curse with a more intimate master.

Origin

After failing the Voraxn rite of strength, Kexar was cast out. Bruteforce Brawnipo taught him to fight through leverage and discipline, and Kexar later claimed the prophesied Nighthunger blade.

Powers

  1. 01Cursed Voraxn physiology

The Butterfly Curse reinforces a Voraxn hunter's strength, speed, reflexes, senses, and resilience. The same curse also makes those advantages dependent on a continuing cycle of pursuit and life-force absorption.

  2. 02Life-force absorption

A successful hunt restores stamina and intensifies the hunter's physical capabilities. This is not ordinary feeding: the curse converts the vitality of prey into the energy that keeps a Voraxn from deteriorating.

  3. 03Predator senses

Voraxn can track heat, scent, movement, and faint sound through darkness and difficult terrain. A coordinated clan can follow one target across environments that would defeat conventional surveillance.

  4. 04Brawnipo combat discipline

Training under Bruteforce taught Kexar to defeat stronger opponents through balance, leverage, timing, and controlled force.

  5. 05Nighthunger bond

The blade channels absorbed vitality into its wielder and can injure mystical or regenerative targets that resist ordinary weapons.

Equipment

  1. 01Nighthunger

A sentient, life-drinking blade whose bond strengthens Kexar while continually testing the boundary between partnership and possession.

Weaknesses

  1. 01The hunger

Without a hunt or a source of absorbed life force, a Voraxn weakens physically and psychologically. Prolonged deprivation produces pain, loss of focus, and eventual bodily collapse.

  2. 02Curse-driven instinct

Powerful prey can pull a hunter away from sound strategy. The curse rewards pursuit so aggressively that restraint becomes a continuous act of discipline.

  3. 03Myst witchcraft

The clan's condition began with Minka Myst's Butterfly Curse. Myst-lineage rites can identify, aggravate, redirect, or potentially unmake parts of the bond.

  4. 04Nighthunger's appetite

The blade intensifies anger and encourages a killing strike when restraint would better serve Kexar.

  5. 05Exile

Without clan rites, every failure to secure life force carries immediate physical consequences.
